Emily's career began on the stage, having studied acting in her hometown of London, England. In 2001 she made her award winning (evening Standard Award for Best Newcomer) debut in Sir Peter Hall's production of "The Royal Family" where she performed alongside famous British actress, Judi Dench. Emily went on to portray Juliet at the Chichester Fesival. Emily's early film work is impressive, such as Irresistible and My Summer of Love, yet her star status came when she appeared with Anne Hathaway and Meryl Street in The Devil Wears Prada.

Recently, Emily appeared in the psycholigical thriller, Wind Chill also The Jane Austen Book Club and Dan in Real Life. She also has several other upcoming projects, like Sunshine Cleaning, The Great Buck Howard, Charlie Wilson's War and The Young Victoria.
